Customizing Your Website with Shopify Plus

With Shopify Plus, you can add custom extensions to your websites, such as social media integration or eCommerce capabilities. If you want to create a professional website on the Shopify platform, then using Shopify Plus is the way to go.
Securing Your Website with SSL
SSL or Secure Sockets Layer helps protect your website visitors’ information and online transactions by encrypting the data between your website and browser. By default, all new Shopify websites are set to use SSL.
SSL is essential for a few reasons:
1. Security – When your site is encrypted, hackers have more difficulty stealing your customers’ personal information or accessing their accounts.
2. Compliance – Some browsers (like Chrome) will not display sites that don’t have an SSL certificate, so setting up SSL is an excellent way to ensure that your site looks modern and doesn’t miss out on potential customers.
3. Speed – Encrypting traffic can help to speed up page loading times for your visitors, making your site more responsive and user-friendly.
Setting Up Your Site For SSL
To enable SSL on your Shopify Plus account, go to Settings > Websites and click the “+ NEW WEBSITE” button in the screen’s upper-right corner.
Once you’ve created your new website, click the “Advanced Settings” link next to the “SSL/TLS Certificate” section and verify that the “Use this certificate for secure connections (recommended)” checkbox is selected.
Finally, click save changes at the bottom of the page to apply these settings to your new website!
Optimizing Your Website for SEO
SEO is the practice of optimizing your website for ranking high on search engine results pages (SERPs), meaning it will be more likely for people to find and click on your site’s links. Following Google’s Guidelines for Webmasters is the best way to optimize your site for SEO.
Many factors can influence how well a website ranks in search engine results pages; therefore, it can be challenging to determine which ones to focus on. However, some everyday things that you can do to optimize your site for SEO include:
Make sure your website is coded correctly
Creating good title tags and meta descriptions
Configuring your website correctly in Google Search Engine Optimization Settings
Creating quality backlinks (webpage references from other websites)
